FormVault ships constantly. Here's what's live, what's coming, and where we're headed.

FormVault ships on a rolling basis — not in quarterly releases. When a feature is ready and tested by our founding schools, it ships. The “Now” column below reflects what is live in every FormVault account today. The “Next” column is actively in development. “Later” is planned but not yet scheduled. We update this page as things move. If something you need isn't here, tell us — founding school feedback is the primary driver of what lands in “Next.”

These features are planned but not yet in active development. We're sharing them here to be transparent about where FormVault is headed — not to overpromise. Timelines are estimates and will shift as we learn.

  • Physical Exam Expiration Tracking — auto-flag and notify families when a physical is expiring or lapsed
  • Student Participation Fee Collection — collect pay-to-play fees during clearance; Stripe-powered, AD-configured per sport
  • Eligibility Status Tracking — separate eligibility status (academic, transfer, age) alongside clearance status on every student profile
  • Coach → Parent Messaging — coaches message parents in their sport directly; all threads logged and visible to the AD
  • Parent Reply Path — parents reply to AD and coach messages from email or portal; replies surface in FormVault
  • Message Delivery & View Tracking — delivered, opened, and clicked status for every email sent from FormVault
  • Emergency Broadcast — one-click email + SMS to all parents, coaches, and students simultaneously
  • Injury / Illness Report Logging — structured incident reports filed by coaches or athletic trainers, stored as FERPA-protected records
  • Return-to-Play / Concussion Protocol — step-gated clearance workflow triggered after injury; each step requires signature before next unlocks
  • IEP / ETR Expiration Alerts — track accommodation document expiration dates; AD-only compliance flag per student
  • State Eligibility Report Generation — one-click export in state association formats; Phase 2 direct submission for supported states
  • Calendar Sync (Google / Microsoft / Apple) — subscribe to an iCal feed of all FormVault deadlines from any calendar app
  • Athletic Trainer Portal — SOAP notes, training room visit log, injury history, and AT-initiated clearance status; separate role from Coach

FormVault launched with a fully functional platform — not a waitlist. Every feature listed under “Now” is available to your school today, included in every plan. No upgrades required means exactly that: when a new feature ships, it appears in your account automatically. Starter, Pro, and District tiers all receive every core feature — you're never gated off a compliance tool because you're on a lower tier.

How we decide what to build next

FormVault ships features based on what athletic directors tell us they need — not what sounds impressive in a pitch deck. Every item on this roadmap traces back to a real conversation with a real AD about a real problem they face every season.

We prioritize features that reduce liability, save time during peak season, and keep students participating. That means compliance tools and workflow automation come before cosmetic improvements every time.
